Senatorial Scholarships are a privilege given to each Senator to provide scholarships to students in their district who attend Public Higher Education Institutions in the state of Maryland. Exceptions are provided for students who attend schools outside of Maryland whose major field of study is not available at a Maryland institution. This is the only exception
Scholarships are awarded at the beginning of each school year and are administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
To be eligible for the Senatorial scholarship, you must fill out the Federal FAFSA application, found online here www.fafsa.ed.gov Students who have not completed the FAFSA cannot be considered for a scholarship.
There is no application for the District 20 Senatorial Scholarship. Filling out the FAFSA automatically enrolls you for consideration.
